During the October work week Pete Silver returned from Didcot to repair the non apparatus end of the coach. The main repair that was required was to install a new section of bottomside. The picture shows the affected area with the bottomside removed and the chassis having been painted. Notice the missing corner post and half uprights.

One day later and the section of flooring is in place, just waiting for the fitting of the toilet (which will not happen for a while - we need to put the walls up first!

By the end of the week the new section of bottomside was in place and all the uprights and corner piece were back in place.

The floor at the apparatus end of the coach has now been laid, apart from a few sections on the right (which will allow us access to the bottomside). So far some 650 screws have been used to secure the flooring down.

The newxt section of the floor to be tackledApologies for the poor picture, but lighting at Wansford was very poor today. More of the original flooring has been removed from the non-apparatus end of the coach; this will enable the chassis to be renovated before the new flooring is installed.
