Progress on the new lineside apparatus at Yarwell

Clearance work has been started to enable a footpath to be installed between Yarwell Junction station and the viewing area. The image here shows the planned viewing area during clearance work, but before the levelling of the ground and installation of fencing. The lineside apparatus is now in position and only requires the chains and rope to complete the installation, plus some other minor parts."

From the top of the embankment overlooking the viewing area the lineside hut can be seen, with much work having been completed already. Notice the new roof is almost complete with just the ridge tiles to be installed. Work is now about to start on restoring the inside of the hut for use as a lineside hut as used by postman in their duties with the lineside apparatus. A crossing will also be installed in front of the hut to allow safe passage across the tracks to the lineside apparatus when in use.
