Preparing the roof for paintingWell we have started back today and got straight on with the roof, and found it to be in good condition.

With very little remedial work required all that was needed was to give it a good clean in the morning, with some touch up of bare metal using red oxide and then paint it in the afternoon.

Pete continues with the undercoating of the apparatus side of the coach. This view shows the brake area of the coach.

Frank undercoating the "non"! apparatus side of the coachFrank on the other hand has been let loose on the other side of the coach, which is normally referred to as the non apparatus side; yet this does seem rather inappropriate given that this side also has an apparatus area!
Frank!Another closer view of Frank with his trusty paintbrush.
Paul repainting the ceiling of the coach.Paul has made a start on the ceiling, which has been cleaned and sanded down and given an undercoat. The present work being undertaken is to give it a coat of white gloss, which makes a vast area of white paint and is starting to drive Paul mad.
